CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police arrested two individuals Monday suspected of being involved in a strong-armed robbery incident. Eloy Rodriguez, 19, of Clearlake was arrested and booked into Lake County Jail. A 17-year-old male juvenile also from the city of Clearlake, was arrested and transported to the juvenile facility in Lakeport.
Lt. Craig Clausen reported that the victim, a 21-year-old male from Clearlake, contacted officers at the police department regarding the incident, which had reportedly occurred at the Clearlake Commons Apartment complex between 1 and 2 a.m.
According to Clausen, the suspects had allegedly assaulted the victim and took a large amount of cash from him. Investigation of the incident led to the recovery of the cash as well as other evidence associated with the alleged robbery.
The individuals suspected of being involved in the incident were located in two separate locations within the city and taken into custody. Reports of the incident have been forwarded to the District Attorney”s Office as well as the Juvenile Probation Department for review and possible prosecution.
