MIDDLETOWN — Lower Lake High”s junior varsity volleyball team wrapped up the undisputed North Central League I North championship on Thursday with a 26-24, 25-13 win over Middletown at Middletown.

“We made eight service errors in the first game but only two in the second,” Lower Lake coach Pat Chambers said. “It makes it a whole lot nicer when you don”t have those.”

The Trojans served up 15 aces in their title-clinching victory. Kelsie Shoffeitt led the way with five aces and three kills. Jessica Wilson added four aces and Veronica Wilder, Nikki Staats and Alex Von Rekowski each had two.

Lower Lake closes out the season 7-1 in league and 21-5 overall.
