CORRAL DE TIERRA — Middletown High School junior Lisa Copeland fired an 86 and missed the cut by eight shots Monday during the Northern California Golf Championships at the par-72 Corral De Tierra Golf Club.

Advancing to next week”s State CIF Championships in Rancho Cucamonga were the top three teams and low six scorers who are not members of the top three teams.

In the team division, St. Francis of Mountain View finished with 408, Alameda was next with 425, and Monte Vista of Danville came in third with 437.

Low individuals, all of whom advance to the state finals, were Ashley Nada (74) of Loretta, Christina Uhalde (75) of Johansen, Alexandra Geroetsema of Palo Alto, Jam Vilairantana (77) of Robert Louis Stevenson, Haley Andreas (77) of Pacific Grove, and Bonnie Hu (78) of Mission San Jose.

Copeland fired a 44 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine.

“It”s an accomplishment,” Kelseyville High School golf coach John Berry said of Copeland”s postseason run.

“It”s all part of the learning curve.”
