UKIAH — Middletown High School freshman Miriam Lane had the best individual finish by a Lake County runner on Wednesday as she took second in the girls” division during the Coastal Mountain Conference Cross Coun-try Championships at Mendocino College in Ukiah.
Lane completed the 3.1-mile course in 22 minutes, 10 seconds. Sonoma Academy”s Grace Hafner won the race in 21:48.
The top 15 runners in each division are named to the All-CMC team and Upper Lake”s Ashley Burns (ninth in 23:42) and Clear Lake”s Jessica Henson (15th in 25:31) also earned conference honors.
In the varsity boys” division, Upper Lake runners James Lolonis and Michael Dolan cracked the top 15, Lolonis with a fifth-place time of 19:10 and Dolan with a 14th-place time of 19:40. The race winner was Skylar Thomas of Mendocino (18:03).
Overall team titles, which take into account regular-season meets as well as the results of Wednesday”s meet, went to Willits (CMC North) and Santa Rosa Christian (CMC South) in the boys” division, and to Cloverdale (CMC North) and Sonoma Academy (CMC South) in the girls” division.
Middletown”s girls finished second in the North and Upper Lake”s boys were third in the North.
