LAKEPORT– Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) is warning residents to lock doors, windows and vehicles.
There have been a number of burglaries and attempted burglaries in North Lakeport since the beginning of the month, according to Captain James Bauman (LCSO).
Perks Mobile Home Park on Lakeshore Blvd. sustained four confirmed burglaries and two attempted burglaries. Of the four homes hit, two cars were also stolen, a 2002 PT Cruiser, recovered the same day parked off of Clay Street in Nice and a 2007 Buick recovered three days later less than a half of a block from the location where it was stolen.
Lakeside Village Mobile Home Park, Northport Trailer Resort and Sterling Shores have also been hit by burglars.
Two homes on Miramonte Avenue were broken into. Capt. Bauman says that “a somewhat inordinate number of homes have been burglarized.”
