LOWER LAKE — Well, happy holidays, everyone! Lake County Theatre Company and its new show, “Christmas Belles,” are gearing up to kick-off to the holiday season the day after Thanksgiving! Perfect timing!

Written by a nutty bunch (Jesse Jones, Nicholas Hope and James Wooten), this play will do for Christmas what “Greater Tuna” did for Tuna, Texas … make you laugh until you fall off your chair.

What”s it all about? Well, there”s this Christmas pageant that”s supposed to take place in Farley, Texas. And there”s this pregnant lady who already has a grown daughter and this guy with a red wagon and this sister who is let out of jail for the holidays and this policeman who likes her and this sort of weird Santa and … don”t you just love Christmas?

So, if you want to get this Christmas season off to a really good start, you should mark your calander for “Christmas Belles.” The performances take place at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 28, 29, Dec. 5 and 6; and 2 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7; in the beautiful Weaver Auditorium of the Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake. Tickets are only $14 for reserved and $12 for general seating, $2 less for seniors, students and LCTC members.

Reserved and general seating tickets are available at Catfish Books in Lakeport and the Clearlake Senior/Community Center in Clearlake. General seating is available at Wild About Books in Clearlake and Shannon Ridge Tasting Room in Clearlake Oaks.
