$2,780 donated so far to Christmas Fund
LAKE COUNTY ? A collaborative effort between Lake County Publishing, the Lakeport Rotary Club, Bruno”s Shop Smart, Umpqua banks, Westamerica banks, Lake Family Resource Center and Lake County Community Action Agency provides Christmas baskets to those in need during the holidays in Lake County.

The Christmas Basket Program is in its 24th year. A total of 1,200 baskets will be distributed ? 600 to the south shore and 600 to the north shore.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the Christmas basket program may bring or mail contributions in to any branch of Umpqua banks. Checks should be written out to Lake County Christmas Fund. Your donation and holiday message will be noted in both the Lake County Record-Bee and the Clear Lake Observer*American.
You may make a donation in honor of a loved one while bringing the holidays to someone who might not otherwise have one.
Basket sign-ups begin on Monday, Dec. 1.
To apply for a basket in the south county, call 995-0495, or visit Lake County Community Action Agency, 15312 Lakeshore Drive in Clearlake.
To apply for a basket in the north county, please sign-up in person between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at Lake Family Resource Center, 896 Lakeport Blvd in Lakeport.
