LAKEPORT — Jessica Asbury scored seven points and Coree Alexander added six as the Clear Lake High School junior varsity girls” basketball team opened the 2008-09 season with a 47-37 non-league win over Esparto on Monday night in Lakeport.
Elisa Jauregui, Lindsey Hansford and Vanessa Tullos added five points apiece in the season opener.
Clear Lake returns to action Thursday at the Colusa Tournament. Tip-off is 11:30 a.m.
