UPDATED:

I wish to respond to Mr. Adrian Vance”s article published in Record-Bee December 3, 2008. Here we go again. I thought crucifixion of science/scientist died centuries ago and never to be repeated again specifically in the 21st Century.

I no longer can stay silent. I thought I heard them all from this County, from ” bottom of lake sinking and mountains rising, to nothing is wrong with this Lake, etc. and now, Mr. Vance”s comments are an insult to the intelligence of every scientist and their field of science. What is amazing about this County is that every polluted particle seems to settle here when the wind blows.

I personally know Dr. James Hansen, and I do not take kindly to hear his intelligence being insulted. I have been part of Lawrence Laboratory, part of NASA for 25 years as well as Department of Defense. Your analogy insults my intelligence as well to the scientific advancement in the last Century. Mr. Vance, there is indication that you do not have any scientific knowledge of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide nor infrared except to cite their inaccurate percentages. Furthermore, the gains we have achieved from exploration of solar system/universe will never be appreciated when one”s mind is closed. I have been a part of the exploration project and have seen the gains to mankind.

If you cannot see anything wrong with this environment, then you are probably 99.94% water vapors deficient, Helium 3% cal/mole, Argon 3% cal/mole, Hydrogen 4.82% cal/mole, and you just blow hot Neon. Please stop polluting this environment and just pray to your Queen, as we have our own Boston tea party.
