LAKE COUNTY — Authorities found stolen items late in November that connected Raymon Narvaes, the sole suspect in a string of burglaries being investigated, with at least four more burglaries than he copped to committing, according to Lake County Sheriffs Department Captain James Bauman.

Stolen property was found at the homes of Narvaes” acquaintances after further investigation following Narvaes” Nov. 23 arrest. Narvaes is the only suspect arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in the northern end of the county that authorities have been investigating since the beginning of November.

“Analysis of the additional stolen property has led to Narvaes” connection to at least two more of the burglaries in the sheriff”s jurisdiction and at least two burglaries committed in the City of Lakeport during the same time frame,” Bauman said.

A Lucerne vacation home was reported burglarized Nov. 30, according to Bauman, the only reported burglary since Narvaes was arrested on felony charges of vehicle theft, possessing stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.

“The method of entry was very similar to those Narvaes has been connected to, and since the victim had not been to the home for nearly a month, it is quite likely the crime occurred during the rash of other burglaries prior to Narvaes” arrest,” Bauman said.

Narvaes told police he had committed seven of the 24 burglaries and seven attempted burglaries that were reported in the communities on the north end of the county. The Lake County Sheriff”s Office investigated seven burglaries and two attempted burglaries at mobile home parks in the North Lakeport area during the first two weeks of November, along with five other homes in the area of Lakeshore Boulevard.

Two cars were stolen in that time. As of Nov. 24, Bauman said 12 more burglaries and four more attempted burglaries had been reported in the North Lakeport and Northshore areas.
