FORT BRAGG — Skyler Olsen scored 19 points and tourney MVP Monique Santana added another nine as the Kelseyville Knights beat the Willits Wolverines 53-44 in the championship game of the Fort Bragg Tournament on Saturday morning.
Olsen and Santana each had three 3-pointers.
Neither team was sharp early and Kelseyville led just 6-4 after one quarter. It was a different story in the second period as Olsen and Santana combined to score 15 of the Knights” 17 points. Kelseyville pulled in front 23-14 by halftime.
“We kept working the ball inside and back out and the shots began to fall,” Kelseyville coach Caitlin Andrus said. “We hit our threes and had a good running game. We played well as a team.”
Amanda Mueller had seven points for Kelseyville and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Healdsburg 61, Lower Lake 47
A strong first quarter only delayed the inevitable for the Lower Lake Trojans, who fell to the Healdsburg Greyhounds in the seventh-place game of the McKinleyville Tournament.
Despite spotting Healdsburg an 11-2 lead, Lower Lake rallied for a 16-14 first-quarter lead.
“We fell behind 11-2, then we started to play,” Lower Lake coach Andrew Carpenter said. “But they (Greyhounds) have too much firepower for us to hold them off very long.”
Darlena White scored 18 points, Veronica Wilder added 12 and Tashee Denson had 11 for the Trojans.
CSD 37, Upper Lake 34
Upper Lake couldn”t recover from a 15-2 first quarter and fell to California School of the Deaf in the seventh-place game at the Cloverdale Tournament.
Arica Jones led CSD with 20 points.
“She might be the best player in that tournament,” Upper Lake coach Donnie Meri said.
Katy DeVries led Upper Lake with 17 points.
Analy 59, Middletown 21
At Sebastopol, guard Jenny McGee took an elbow to the eye and had to leave the game and it wasn”t much better for the rest of the Middletown Mustangs in a non-league loss to the Analy Tigers on Friday night.
“We”re really not a team that can come back,” Middletown coach Marnin Pyzer said of the 20-6 hole the Mustangs dug for themselves in the first quarter. “Analy dominated us in every aspect of the game.
Kelsey Guzman”s nine points paced the Mustangs and Emily Beckwith had six.
