LOWER LAKE — Vanessa Tullos led the way with 11 points on Tuesday as Clear Lake beat Upper Lake 37-35 in overtime in a first-round junior varsity girls” basketball game at the Lake County Tournament in Lower Lake.

Jessica Asbury added eight points and Heather White had six for Clear Lake.

Clear Lake coach Kory Reynolds also praised the play of his point guard, Elisa Jauregui.

“She played a really good game and distributed the ball well,” Reynolds said.

The tournament continues through Saturday.

In other JV games Tuesday:

Kelseyville 35, Middletown 33

Mary Brown scored 15 points and Liz Berry had eight to lead Kelseyville in its first-round win over Middletown. Kayla Farr had 12 points for the Mustangs and Amber Hart added eight.

Middletown 40, Lower Lake 34

In the late JV game Tuesday, Middletown bounced back from its loss earlier in the day to Kelseyville to beat tournament host Lower Lake. Jodie Mitchell”s 10 points sparked Middletown.

Jonesha Beasley led Lower Lake with 12 points.
