LAKE COUNTY ? Two men were arrested on charges related to child molestation in separate incidents during the weekend following New Year”s Day, according to county law enforcement agencies.
Clearlake police arrested Lucerne resident Christopher Adam Sanders, 28, early Monday morning on a felony charge of lewd or lascivious acts with a child younger than 14. He is being held in the Lake County Jail on $100,000 bail. According to Lt. Mike Hermann of the Clearlake Police Department (CPD), the investigation is ongoing.
“The CPD is investigating the incident as portions of the crime did occur within the city limits. Additional incidents were reported to have occurred within the county”s jurisdiction. Hermann said no further information could be released at the time. No photograph of Sanders was available on the Lake County Sheriff”s Office Web site, and Lake County Jail staff did not release the picture on file.
