MIDDLETOWN — Jereomy Hoefer”s 14 points propelled the undefeated Middletown Mustangs to a 69-46 victory over the Clear Lake Cardinals in a North Central League I interlock basketball game matching Lake County”s top two junior varsity teams on Thursday night in Middletown.
Bo Sheffer added 11 points and five assists and Chris Oatman just missed a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds as the Mustangs (10-0) beat the Cardinals (9-4) for the third time this season. John-Wesley Davis also had nine points for Middletown.
“That kid is really putting out some energy,” Middletown coach Tom Knowles said of Oatman, a sophomore forward.
Steven Edwards” 11 points paced the Cardinals. Tanner Mansell added nine points and Kyle Donald had seven.
Middletown led 35-23 at halftime.
