CLEARLAKE — Southshore Little League sign-ups for the 2009 season take place today and again on Jan. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce on Golf Avenue in Clearlake.
Additional sign-ups will be held Saturday and again on Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lower Lake High School gym.
Player registration fees are as follows: one child $67; two children $99; three children $121; and four children $138. Fees include uniform, hat, shirt and trophy. Cash, checks or money orders payable to Southshore Little League will be accepted. All checks will be deposited on Feb. 4.
Please bring payment, a copy of your child”s birth certificate and proof of physical address (such as a utility bill).
Southshore Little League serves children in the following baseball divisions: age 5-6 — T-ball; age 7-8 — Lower Minors; age 8-12 — Minors; age 9-12 — Majors; age 13-15 — Juniors.
Baseball league age is prior to May 1, 2009.
Softball divisions offered are: age 9-12 — Majors; age 13-15 — Juniors. League age is prior to Jan. 1, 2009.
Players must try out for all softball divisions and for Minors, Majors and Juniors in baseball. Tryouts take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Feb. 1 and Feb. 8 at the Redbud Park ballfields in Clearlake.
Volunteer coaches and umpires are needed. Please bring your California Driver”s License to a registration date and fill out a volunteer form.
