How embarrassing. The publisher of my local newspaper has fallen for 9/11 conspiracy theories! (Record-Bee, Jan.17). Which is your favorite piece of “evidence” for your theory, Mr. Dickson? Mine is that American Airlines flight 77 did not crash into the Pentagon, partially destroying it; the damage was accomplished by a Navy missile. After all, that is what the Navy is supposed to do, right? Destroy government buildings?
Don”t worry about the little detail that Flight 77 disappeared from the face of the earth that day, along with its 64 people aboard. Obviously, they were abducted by space aliens.
In reality, the only reason that 9/11 conspiracy theories exist is that the theorists simply want to tarnish the most significant accomplishment of the Bush presidency ? that he has kept us safe from foreign terror on our soil for 7 and a half years. Your column is more than embarrassing. It is disgusting.
