LAKEPORT — Lakeport Hobbies Radio Control Racing hosted the Golden State Electric Challenge last weekend and 72 drivers entered more than 130 cars in the various divisions.

The Electric Challenge is the biggest radio control event to take place in Lake County and more than $5,500 was awarded to the top finishers.

Final standings were as follows:

Expert 2WD Stadium Truck Modified — Phillip Atondo, 200 points; Frank Root, 199; Blake Cannon, 198.

Expert 4WD Buggy Modified — Kevin Jelich, 200 points; Frank Root, 199; Aaron Biner, 196.

Expert 2WD Buggy Modified –Phillip Ato-ndo, 200 points; Frank Root, 199; Aaron Biner, 196.

Expert Slash — Kevin Jelich, 199 points; Sawyer Breuer, 199; Shon Wilcox, 198.

Sportsman 2WD Stadium Truck Modified — Kevin Gochinski, 200 points; Rob Burns, 198; James Howard, 196.

Sportsman 4WD Buggy Modified — Nathan Long, 200 points; James Howard, 197; Steve Gioia, 196.

Sportsman 2WD Buggy Modified — Kevin Gochinski, 200 points; James Howard, 197; Eriz Paz, 196.

Sportsman Slash — Brian Crum, 200 points; Gary Byron, 199 points, Eric Kolari, 198 points.

Novice — George Didescu, 200 points; Mike Haase, 199 points; Xavier Zepeda, 198 points.
