LAKEPORT — Calling it one of his team”s worst efforts of the season, Clear Lake High School junior varsity boys” basketball coach Jeremy Hopkins said there was really nothing to like about the Cardinals” 62-23 loss to St. Vincent in a North Central League I South game on Friday in Lakeport.

If there was a positive, according to Hopkins, it was the overall play of Oren Ruffcorn and Matt Gatton.

“They played a good game,” Hopkins said. “The rest of the team didn”t do much … it wasn”t a good game for us.”

Kyle Donald”s eight points paced the Cardinals, who host Upper Lake today at 5 p.m.
