Effective Monday, February, 2009, the Lake County Record-Bee will bring back the Topix commenting forums. Website visitors to www.record-bee.com will be able comment directly on stories, issues, and opinions in the Lake County Record-Bee.
Due to previous abuses of the Topix Terms of Service (TOS) as well as reader and advertiser concerns, additional local moderators as well as increased personnel from Topix will monitor the comments forum.
In addition, the following new Publisher”s policy will be enforced:

We encourage a collegial, non-insulting tone. Be aware, in accordance with the Communications Decency Act and provisions upheld in judicial appeal, you are responsible for comments posted on this Web site. The Lake County Record-Bee is not liable for messages from third parties.

* Obscene, explicit, or racist language.
* Personal attacks, insults or threats.
* The use of another person”s real name to disguise your identity.
* Comments unrelated to the story.
