Whilst I may agree with your opinion about the state of the great State of California being absolutely dysfunctional, it is abhorrent to state that there is a “tyranny of the minority” and that the solution is to raise taxes.
California has a spending problem, demonstrated by the doubling of spending in the past 10 years: while the population increased 18%, the number of State employees increased 32%, and the spending increased 202%.
I don”t know about others, but my income has flat-lined these past ten years, all the while with property, sales, and income taxes soaring. We are surely on the road to serfdom if we allow these dysfunctional legislators take any more of our hard-earned money. Thanks god for the “tyranny of the minority.”
