MIDDLETOWN — Middletown High School standout linebacker Eric Tomko has been named to the 2008 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Team for small schools.
Tomko, who was the North Central League I North most valuable player on offense and defense for the Mustangs during their league-championship run in 2008, was named to the second-team defense.
Other Redwood Emp-ire players honored on the Cal-Hi team were Justin Clayton, a first-team selection at defensive end from Justin-Siena High School in Napa; Jourdan Del Biaggio, a second-team selection at linebacker for Ferndale; and Cullen Carroll, a second-team selection at linebacker for St. Vincent (Petaluma).
All of the players are seniors.
