I really enjoy reading the letters by Lowell Grant. They are all so well written. Although I usually always disagree with most everything he says, he is a fine writer. The one thing that really bothers me is the fact that his articles are always so full of hate towards Republicans. So much name calling.

Although I did not vote for Obama I am excited with all the positive vibes in our country right now. And as one of those rat Republicans, as Grant refers to, I am behind Obama 100-percent to make things work, as are many of my Republican friends. I think we would all like to see him change the way things are done in Washington D.C.

I know the country is in desire need of a good stimulus package right now. Both sides would agree on that. But the amount of pork attached to this current package is outrageous.

It scares me to think that our leaders are willing to go ahead and do business as usual. There are millions and millions of our dollars going to programs that will have no effect on our economy what so ever. I do not understand the philosophy behind our new President, in him allowing this business as usual. Is this the change everyone is looking for? All we can do is pray that this package will have some positive affect on our gloomy situation.

As for Rush Limbaugh, do Grant really think he is any kind of leader of the Republican Party? He is an entertainer with a huge following. And to say his following is dwindling or dying off is ridiculous. His following is bigger than ever. I think for most listeners it is entertainment and a lot is over the top. But the one thing you have to say is that 98 percent of it is the truth.

With all the bias main stream media, It is refreshing to be able to tune in and listen to some truth and also be entertained at the same time. It is just like FOX NEWS, which has a viewership that is more than MSNBC and CNN combined. I really am kind of surprised to see Grant come out so biased and so hateful towards a particular group. It just doesn”t seem right.

I agree everyone should voice their opinions, but to be so hateful and name calling toward one particular group especially when Grant doesn”t really personally know all these people isn”t very American to me. I think it is just the opposite of what our new President is trying to achieve ? Change.

Join with me in backing our President and our country and stop in the division that Grant and others like him are creating in their words. In the times that are ahead of us, we really all need to come together in any small way possible, That is what Americans do.
