There have been lots of opinions about how that arrogant egotistical Rush Limbaugh and other deranged conservatives want Obama to fail. I want him to succeed. I want him to be rated the best Commander-in-Chief ever in protecting our citizens and ensuring we continue to prevail in this war on terror. I also want him to succeed in making our economy healthy to fund our citizens as well as our national defense and environmental crusades. I wish him success in ensuring we get a realistic energy policy so we are not held hostage by oil producing nations. I also wish him success in controlling our borders while ensuring we have the proper immigration that has made us the greatest country on the planet. I hope he is the best ever. After all he is my president.
However I do hope he fails on any and all of his agenda items that move us in the direction of socialism. For example: moving to a tax structure that further punishes the successful while rewarding the unsuccessful will drive more of our successful offshore. Eliminating secret union ballots and forcing more companies and entities to unionize will make more companies uncompetitive and increase the exodus (e.g. our auto industry). Nationalizing our medical system is a road to disaster, both in cost and quality. I think most conservatives have similar thoughts as I do, if you take them out of context as I did in titling this opinion letter or as many did with Rush”s comments, it becomes very misleading.
