LAKEPORT — Kyle Donald”s 26 points propelled the Clear Lake Cardinals to a 58-56 victory over the St. Helena Saints in a North Central League I South junior varsity boys” basketball game on Tuesday in Lakeport.

It was the season finale for both teams.

“We were looking for another player to step up besides Kyle and it was Tanner,” Clear Lake coach Jeremy Hopkins said of Tanner Mansell”s 12 points.

Brenden McQueen”s strong play on defense was another factor in the win, according to Hopkins.

“It was just a good way to go out,” Hopkins said of the Cardinals” final-game effort.
