MIDDLETOWN — Ending the season with an 11th straight win, the Lower Lake High School junior varsity girls” basketball team concluded a perfect North Central League I North campaigin with a 42-40 victory over the Middletown Mustangs on Tuesday in Middletown.
After starting the season 3-6, the Trojans (8-0 North, 17-7 overall) won 14 of their final 15, including their last 11.
“I”m totally happy with these kids,” first-year Lower Lake coach Jim Salmina said. “After we started 3-6, I wasn”t sure what to expect, but they really turned it around.”
Danacka Whitt-ington”s 11 points paced the Trojans in their season finale, Jonesha Beasley added 10 and Kelsie Shoffeitt had eight.
