KELSEYVILLE — Fourteen individual weight class titles, a team title and berths in next weekend”s North Coast Section Championships are up for grabs Saturday when wrestlers from throughout the Coastal Mountain Conference converge at Kelseyville High School for the CMC Championships.

Action begins at 9 a.m.

Wrestlers from all five of Lake County”s high schools will be action. The top three finishers in each weight classification advance to the NCS Championships Feb. 27-28 at Newark Memorial High School in Newark. The top four NCS finishers advance to the CIF State Championships March 6-7 at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.

Upper Lake High School went undefeated during the CMC”s regular season and needs to finish first or second today to clinch the overall championship. Several Cougars are favored to win their weight classes, including 140-pound standout Robbie Avery, who is ranked second in the NCS.
