I can”t believe the State of California wants to borrow money from future lottery revenues! I thought when we, the people of California, approved the lottery one-third of the money was going to the schools, which was extra money for the schools. Whatever money was allowed by the state budget shouldn”t have any affect on money received from the lottery. Plus, what happens to the money when they have a big lottery winner in the millions of dollars that they take one-half the money; where does the other half go?
Education is important because these kids will be running the country 10 to 15 years down the road! Overcrowding classrooms and laying off teachers is not the answer to our financial problem.
My point is that after the state does the budget for schools, it shouldn”t affect how much money there is from the lottery revenue!
Mad in California!
