CLEARLAKE ? The Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce has settled into its temporary home at the Highlands Senior Center, located a 3245 Bowers Road in Clearlake. The move was made because of building problems at the regular location on Golf Avenue.

“We took over the entry area and it really looks nice,” Chamber Executive Director Lori Peters said. “The seniors and coming in; the citizens are coming in to get information about our community.”

Chamber office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone service has been transferred with the same number of 994-3600.

The chamber is preparing for a “Luau on the Lake” fund-raising event to be held on June 6 at Shannon Ridge Winery”s Rolling Knolls Vineyards in Lower Lake. The fundraiser will be held in place of the annual Americana Dinner, which is the chamber”s primary fundraiser for funding the City of Clearlake”s Independence Day fireworks display.

The chamber is also conducting another fundraiser to help garner fireworks funds.

“This year one of the fundraising efforts will be for $20. We will provide a beautiful American flag to display in front of your home or business on Memorial Day, Flag Day and Independence Day,” Peters said. “Just picture how festive our community will look with a sea of American flags waving up and down the streets during the spring and summer.”

For more information regarding any of these opportunities, please call the chamber office at 994-3600.
