LAKEPORT — The 2009 Outlaw Kart racing season opens Saturday with a special night race at Delberts Memorial Raceway, a high-banked, one-eighth mile clay oval located at 2598 S. Main St. in Lakeport. Gates open at 1 p.m., hot laps are at 3:30 p.m. and racing begins at 6 p.m.
Racing during the regular season takes pace on Sunday afternoons from April through November. Gates open at 10 a.m., hot laps are at 11 a.m. and racing begins at 1:30 p.m.
The 2009 Outlaw Kart season schedule includes points races on April 5 and April 19; May 3, May 17 and May 31; June 14; July 12; Aug. 9 and Aug. 23; Sept. 13 and Sept. 27; and the Danny Rose Memorial on Oct. 10-11.
