Democrats, republicans, independents and non-affiliated all should be worried about what is happening in Sacramento and Washington. There are many extremely vital issues that should concern each of us.

When will citizens wake up and realize that Congress in Washington, and locally in Sacramento, California, seem not to have a clue as to what direction they are taking this country. We know that in our private lives that if we spend more money than we have coming in, we have a budgetary problem and have to start striking items out of the expenditure column. It seems that our elected representatives find it a time to spend more and sink the country deeper in debt. We are striking items from local budgets. Shouldn”t this start in Washington and Sacramento by eliminating “pork” and other non-essential items?

Is anyone focusing on securing all of our borders? It is estimated that there are between 20 and 30 million illegal immigrants in our country. Ponder what a drain this is on the resources of this country. Do you feel that you are responsible for the health care, housing, education, and cost of law enforcement for and incarceration of a large number of these individuals? You are now!

Can we overlook the possible threat of terrorism from individuals coming into this country illegally? Think about the issue of the Second Amendment to our Constitution. Do you really believe gun registration of all law abiding gun holders is going to prevent crime? The criminal element has never bought guns legally nor will they ever do so. However, if mandatory gun registration goes in as proposed by the current president and his supporters, there will be a complete registration of all law abiding gun holders and a list, when the time comes, for either a hacking operation by the criminal element so that they can locate any weapon they wish, or for the government to demand, as in Germany prior to WWII, a turn-over of all guns to the government.

Think about what has happened in Australia and Great Britain. Banning guns has not worked for the good of these countries. Major crime is up in every country that has banned guns from law-abiding citizens. Banning guns from law-abiding citizens just makes life much safer for the criminal and leaves the law-abiding citizens without a way to defend themselves, their families and their property.

In conclusion, consider what happens when there are more “takers” in a country than there are “producers.” Is there a plan being implemented to destroy America as we have known it? It is a question that all citizens should be seriously considering while they still have a voice.
