CLEARLAKE ? A woman was reportedly attacked by a male assailant during the late hours of March 17.
The 37-year-old victim said she was walking to work around 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle she described as an older model, silvery-blue Bronco pulled into the parking lot in front of Wild About Books on Olympic Drive.
Allegedly a man exited the vehicle and began to approach her. She said the man grabbed her around the neck and proceeded to choke her. She at some point in the attack she said managed to scratch her attacker and he freed her. The man allegedly went back to his vehicle and drove away, she said.
The woman was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released. According to the Clearlake Police Department the victim was unable to identify her attacker after viewing a photo line up of six men.
