KELSEYVILLE — Kyle Brown scattered seven hits and Andy Garcia went 3-for-5 as the Middletown High School junior varsity baseball team defeated the Kelseyville Knights 14-4 on Thursday in Kelseyville.
Every starter in Middletown”s lineup had at least one hit and seven Mustangs finished with two or more hits.
“Overall they played well,” Middletown coach Charles Russ said.
Brown went the distance on the mound, struck out five and walked four. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Other Middletown players with two hits were Austin Hunter, who doubled twice, Bryan Holt and Andre Fernandez.
Middletown (6-1) had 17 hits overall.
It was the first of five straight road games for the Mustangs, who travel to St. Helena today.
