MIDDLETOWN — Alicia Siri drove in five runs and Kayla Wilks had two hits and scored twice on Wednesday as the Middletown High School softball team beat up the El Molino Lions 10-2 in a non-league softball game at Middletown.

Middletown gave winning pitcher Jen Emberson a four-run lead to work with in the bottom of the first inning.

“We kind of let down after that, but we picked it back up again,” Middletown coach Lisa Rogers said.

El Molino closed to 4-2 with two runs in the top of the fifth, but the Mustangs answered with a run in the bottom of the inning and five more in the sixth to put the game out of reach.

Dilks, Marea Bartolucci and Lindsey Silva each had two hits for the Mustangs (4-1).

Emberson struck out five and walked three.

Middletown hosts St. Helena today at 4 p.m.
