By Lisa Alotta ? letters to the editor

I recently saw the newspaper with the photo of Father Ted Oswald on the front page. I want to say that he is a man who cares for all of God”s children. He has helped teach me and many others to enjoy the beauty of life. He”s a kind, courteous person who is concerned for the poor people and those who have an addictive lifestyle. A person”s color or nationality has never mattered to Father Ted. I believe he is an honest, good man, living within the law of God, our church and our country.

Father Ted comes from a working wealthy, brilliant family. Any time there was a need for help, he would call the family and his mother would help provide assistance for strangers; people around him, in other parts of America and in Vietnam, where he was during the war.

We were neighbors for 20 years and I know him to be a great person, loved and respected by many people.

I am annoyed, disgusted and disturbed by the accusations that have been made against Father Ted. I don”t believe that he is a person who could be guilty of such actions.

Those of us who know Father Ted wish to say God bless you. Take care of yourself. Your health should be your top concern. You, dear father, have done much good in your life. Many blessings are for you, now, so you can and will do much in the future in this crazy world. We need you. This is not the end, but a new beginning. We are a large group. We believe in you. You never let us down. Now, it is our turn to not let you down. We love you and wish you the best always.
