I would strongly suspect that what you select not to enforce would be “tough to curb” as described regarding off-road vehicles above the hills, in primarily Nice and Lucerne.

Fact of the matter is our sheriff has ample “off-road vehicles” available for deputies to begin the aggressive enforcement of this law. Additionally, these vehicles tearing up the hills are visible from the flatlands below. All it would take is someone to monitor the hills, just as our CHP sits at roadsides awaiting speeders.

But once again it”s about selecting what the sheriff wants to actively enforce, or not, such as illegal dumping, to site just one example. Our sheriff”s department has yet, in the history of this county investigated, arrested and, or cited anyone for this activity. It is another one not high up on the enforcement pole.

Personally, I do not like it. I find it frustrating and irritating. But I do need to remember that this is an elected position. Everything changes.
