LAKEPORT — Battling for every point, the Clear Lake Cardinals and Anderson Valley Panthers hooked up in a seesaw tennis match that finally went Anderson Valley”s way, 3-2, on Wednesday in Lakeport.

The longest match of the day was in third singles where Anderson Valley”s Dylan Beatty beat Hayden Gilbert 6-7 (7-3), 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 in 2 ? hours.

Also going the distance was the first singles match won by Anderson Valley”s Stella Day, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, over KC White, and the No. 2 doubles match won by Anderson Valley”s Laura Essayah and Domingo Ferreyra, 6-1, 6-7 (9-7), 10-5, over Darcy McCarrick and Jeffery Mulligan.

Clear Lake posted wins in second singles, where Nate Seacrest beat John Paula 6-4, 6-4, and in No. 1 doubles, where Tony Valdez and Humberto Perez beat Quinn O”Connell and Madelyn Gagway 6-2, 6-3.
