Frank Moore is a longtime employee of Kelseyville Lumber. He is a truck driver who is well known for his abilities, making somewhat impossible sheetrock and lumber deliveries alone. Many times he carries drywall up large flights of stairs, always keeping in mind the customer who is either building their new dream home or a new business closer to becoming a reality. Regardless of how difficult, Frank always got the job done.
Frank was involved in a tragic boating accident on Easter Sunday while on vacation with his sons in Florida. Five people lost their lives in this accident and Frank”s injuries are very substantial. Frank broke his back in five places, broke his pelvis and several ribs. Also, Frank received a brain injury which caused his brain to swell. It wasn”t until a few days ago that he regained consciousness.
Frank is in a Jacksonville, Florida hospital and due to his brain injury a flight back to California is out of the question. He will be driven by ambulance to California, hopefully, sooner than later.
This ambulance trip will take not only a long time, but it will also be very costly. It is unknown when this will take place as of the writing of this letter. Frank will possibly never work again. Frank”s wife has cancer, which only makes their circumstances worse; especially financially.
Frank is also well known for his sense of humor, his many funny stories and his love of Lake County, especially fishing.
This devastating accident has affected all of those at Kelseyville Lumber who have worked with him. Frank has the type of unique personality that has always made people laugh and feel as though you have met a friend the moment you met him.
He is truly a character and a great man. He is truly loved by all. The financial aspects, now and still to come are astronomical. Kelseyville Lumber will place donation containers throughout the store. We are hoping this letter will cause the residents of Lake County, as well as friends of the Moore family to help Frank come home where he will begin what will be a very long recovery process.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and will no doubt be of tremendous help to Frank and his family.
