HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE ? A new and exciting event is coming to the Hidden Valley Stables. Horse-O-Rama will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 9 at the stables on Powderhorn Road. The free event will feature a variety of activities including equine demonstrations, contests, petting zoo, live music and more.
The event will serve in introducing Pasha Tingle as the new manager of the Hidden Valley Stables. “One of my goals as stable manager is to reach out to the greater community with events such as the Horse-O-Rama to prove that you do not have to own a horse or even know how to ride to enjoy this amenity and event,” Tingle said. “The stables” advisory committee and I want to provide an event that will entertain and interest all ages, youth and adults alike.”
Equine demonstrations in jumping, pole bending, western pleasure, halter, dressage and Peruvian pasos will highlight the event. “These should be very exciting demonstrations to watch,” Tingle said. “We have several youth riders as well as seasoned riders who have spent most of their lives on horseback.”
The event will host an array of activities including face painting and a stick horse barrel racing contest for the children. There will also be a petting zoo that will provide an opportunity for children and adults to experience first hand the joys interacting with animals. A canine agility demonstration will take place as well.
A barbecue hotdog lunch with chips and soda will be available for purchase during the event. Hidden Valley Stables is located at 20432 Powderhorn Road in Hidden Valley Lake. To access the property, use Hartmann Road. For more information contact the stable office at 987-4075.
