LAKE COUNTY — Earth Wise host Chloe Karl talks with Dr. Temple Grandin and Cynthia Parkhill about autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), 5 p.m. Friday, May 1, on KPFZ 88.1 FM. The interview will address Dr. Grandin”s opinion that all children and adults — whether or not they have ASDs — should be taught social functioning skills and be expected to learn and use them.

American poet Hart Crane

Sandra Wade, moderator on the show “Accent on Words,” will be a special guest on “Our Stories — Our Lives” to discuss the poetry of American poet Hart Crane, 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, on KPFZ 88.1 FM.

“Our Stories – Our Lives rebroadcasts at 9 a.m. Thursdays.

The poet little known during his lifetime, who met a tragic end in 1933, is still sadly neglected today and the programmer of “Our Stories — Our Lives,” Harold Riley, hopes that this show will persuade listeners to investigate his poetry.
