LAKE COUNTY — Sign-ups for the Konocti Youth Soccer League take place today, Wednesday and Thursday at locations around the county.
Sign-ups today will be held form 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Kelseyville Elementary School cafeteria; sign-ups on Wednesday take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Upper Lake Elementary School cafeteria; and sign-ups on Thursday will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Terrace Middle School cafeteria in Lakeport.
To ensure placement on a team for the 2009 season, you should attend one of the sign-up dates.
Final sign-ups are June 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mendo Lake Credit Union in Lakeport.
Fees are $30 for the first child in a family and $25 for every other child from the same family. Payment is due when signing up. If you sign up after June 16 and there is still room on a team, there will be a mandatory additional charge of $15 per player.
Uniforms will be sold at the time of registration. Prices are $30 for a complete uniform (shirt, shorts and socks), $20 for shirt only, $10 for shorts only, and $5 for socks only.
Players who did not participate in the league in 2008 are required to bring a copy of a birth certificate.
Coaches, referees, sponsors and volunteers are needed to help make the season a success. The league is also looking for sponsors. New sponsor fees are $250 and existing sponsor fees are $150.
The KYSL will upgrade its Under-14 division to an Under-16 division.
