My name is Captain John Everett and I have lived here in Lake County for 14 years. I also have spent most of my life on the ocean. I also hold a U. S. Coast Guard masters license and have for 25 years.
I concur with what Captain Kremer has written. I wrote you a letter last year regarding this very issue. Captain Kremer is absolutely correct with regard to the sheriff and what his responsibilities were operating a vessel in restricted visibility. My question is why has this not been turned over to the California State Attorney General”s office? We have a very serious issue in this county regarding both our sheriff”s office and our D.A.”s office.
What is our local grand jury doing about all of this? Or are we all ignoring the fact that there is a cover-up going on? We need to stand up and say that we are tired of what has been taking place in this county for far to long and demand that justice be served.
