UPPER LAKE — Tied 2-2 after one inning, the Upper Lake Cougars couldn”t generate any more offense and fell 12-2 to the St. Helena Saints in North Central League I South softball action on Monday in Upper Lake.
The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Upper Lake drops to 0-6 in the South standings with two games remaining and 5-11 overall.
Losing pitcher Laura Wold worked the first four innings, striking out one and walking three.
The Cougars are home today at 4 p.m. to take on Clear Lake (5-1, 16-4). They close out their season Thursday in Cloverdale.
