CLEARLAKE ? A two vehicle collision resulted in moderate injuries to one on Wednesday afternoon. An unidentified man was transported from the scene at Pearl and Mullen avenues via ambulance for transfer via REACH air ambulance for possible spinal injuries.
Lake County Fire Protection District as well as several units from the Clearlake Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 4:15 p.m. following a report of vehicle collision with one vehicle overturned. Upon arrival of rescue and police units all parties involved in the collision were out of their vehicles. The unidentified male was lying next to the overturned Buick sedan where medics stabilized him and prepared him for transport.
According to officers at the scene, the Buick was traveling north on Mullen and a white Toyota Corolla, driven by Theresa Lambert, 43, of Clearlake, was traveling west on Pearl Avenue where the Toyota collided with the Buick causing it to rollover.
Lambert, who was the solo occupant of the vehicle, was not injured. The driver was the solo occupant of the Buick as well.
According to LCFPD Battalion Chief George Murch, the driver of the Buick expressed complaints of back pain and as a result, REACH response was requested for possible spinal cord injuries.
