LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County band, The Lost Boys, pose the question in its newly recorded song, “Why not us, why not now?” The management for the rock band Journey responded to that with a resounding, “Yes, why not?”
“I received an unsolicited call from the long-time Journey Manager early last week. He had heard I was managing a great, up-and-coming band. After researching them (The Lost Boys), he requested that they be added as support for the Journey show, on May 23 at Raley Field in Sacramento,” Greg Bennett, President and General Manager of Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa said.
At the request of the concert promoter, Hope Productions, founded by Sacramento business leaders and created to provide resources to support youth and children”s charities throughout the United States. Hope Productions Foundation partners with local, regional and national corporate partners to ensure the charities successes.
A “Rock the Lunch” concert at the Hard Rock Cafe in Sacramento will be held the same day as the Journey concert as a part of the “Walk ?n” Rock for Kids” benefit weekend. This will round out a five shows in three days run for The Lost Boys, with three shows taking place in one day. Helicopter transportation for the band is planned for The Lost Boys to make this possible on Memorial Day weekend.
Radio station 92.5 and JACK FM offers a chance to win a special prize pack for a listener to see The Lost Boys open for Journey.
Aside from moving along with 22 tour dates already set, The Lost Boys were just added to the bill with The All-American Rejects at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa on July 5.
“This band is really taking off. The music”s all over Sacramento radio, playing on four or five stations now. The boys are very grounded and respectful throughout this whole whirlwind experience,” Bennett said.
The band just got out of the studio, recording new tracks including, “Why not us, why not now.”
Band members are: Beau Bastian, Jordan Mills, Thomas Cano, Matt Weiss and Gary Boyd.
Music is available for download on the band”s Web Site at www.2lostboys.com and also available on iTunes.
