We are bombarded daily with reports of higher unemployment, higher prices, inflation, lower profits, failed businesses and lower home values. Gloom and doom from wall to wall.
Why then are agencies of our government giving millions of our tax dollars away to foreigners to be spent on projects in other countries that have no discernible benefit to this country or the American people?
On May 12 CNSNews.com carried a report that a grant has been awarded to a Chinese scientist by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the amount of $2.6 million dollars. While this amount is insignificant in comparison to the administration”s $3.8 trillion dollar budget, the purpose of the grant should send every American taxpayer into paroxysms of rage.
The stated purpose, according to the report, is to study the effects of and devise intervention protocols concerning alcoholism and HIV infection among prostitutes (FSW”s) and their pimps and madams (enablers) in a single province of China!
Who are these people at NIH who feel they can take millions of dollars out of the pockets of Americans and hand it over, willy-nilly, to foreign “scientists” for such ridiculous and ultimately useless projects?
This has got to stop!
Is there no one in our government who has any sense of responsibility to the long-suffering American taxpayer? Does no one in the Congress object to such egregious abuse of our tax money?
We should call upon every member of the United States Senate, House of Representatives, the Department of Health and Human Services as well as the president and appropriate members of his administration to investigate this horrendous abuse of the taxpayer and put a stop to it.
