UPPER LAKE — An informational meeting for Upper Lake High School students planning to run cross country in the fall takes place Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. in Room 12 at Upper Lake High School.
Parents of runners are encouraged to attend.
Upper Lake cross country coach John Woods will cover all aspects of the cross country program. Athletes will receive team handbooks and parents will be given schedules of summer events and the upcoming fall season. An emphasis is being put on summer training.
Beginning runners and incoming ninth-graders are especially welcome, according to Woods.
“All you need is the will to run and the desire to get better,” Woods said. “We work very hard at our sport and have a very good time.”
