COBB — Dan and Joni Prather have teamed up with Mark Lamirande, owner of Glenbrook, historic stage stop, for the third annual Cobbstock music festival, Saturday, June 13, on Cobb mountain.
Glenbrook, the hub of Cobb mountain before the advent of State Highway 175, will come back to life with local bands and music all day June 13. Music begins at 11 a.m. and the concert ends at 10 p.m.
Five Lake County bands and two solo performers will play along with special guests for this benefit, staged in the meadow, a natural amphitheatre behind the Glenbrook Stage Stop, one of the oldest buildings still standing in Lake County.
Groups playing will be the Prather Brothers Band, Broken Ground, Colby and the Contraband, the CAM Band, Blind Monkey and individual performers David Neft on the keyboards and folksinger-songwriter Joan Moss.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Oakland Children”s Hospital. Jim Ruzicka will do the sound.
Vendors will offer food and refreshments in the shade. People coming to this concert are urged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and sun umbrellas.
Sam”s Chowder House from Half Moon Bay will be selling many varieties of well known fresh sea food specialties.
