Since the subject of a Constitutional convention has been in the media it cannot be said to be a conspiracy theory. This convention they want to call is claimed to address a balanced budget but that is the ostensible reason. The real reason for changing the Constitution (and it”s already known what the changes will be) is more sinister.
This new Constitution took 10 years to (re)write and was finished in 1974. And in 1972, President Nixon divided the country into 10 regions via the Government Reorganization Act which also established the Federal Regional Council for the newly designed 10 regions. It appears the goal is to dissolve state, county, and local powers for centralized power.
Because it didn”t go well in the ”70s, now a new convention is being called. And with 34 states needed for the convention, 32 have now applied for it.
How will the Constitution change? As I said, the changes are already known and in 1974 Rexford G. Tugwell put this new Constitution in a book titled “The Emerging Constitution.” (Also read “Proposed Constitution for the New States of America” at www.sweetliberty.org). This new Constitution will change your “rights” to instead be “privileges.”
A few examples are:
1. Bearing of arms shall be confined to the police, members of the armed forces, and those licensed under law. (It”s in Congress as HR-45; also Google “Big brother: watching, tracking, monitoring, regulating and banning.”)
2. Freedom of expression shall not be abridged except in a declared emergency. A perpetual state of emergency could be declared which would make it criminal to even read information such as this.
3. The practice of religion shall be privileged.
4. Free education would only be for those who pass appropriate tests.
5. Farms ? Private ownership has not proved good for society. (The e-mail I got March 12 was titled “HR-875 the food police, backyard gardening”, it includes production of meat and game and also organic farming. You can probably Google the title.
I”ve read they want to wait until the U.S. is in a 1929-type of Depression to call this convention in order that the public will accept the radical changes. It seems we”re almost there.
