Regarding Saturday”s issue of the Record-Bee, I wish to express my appreciation of the column by Dr. Matthew McQuaid and for his previous columns which are positive, farsighted and timely. I hope that you will continue to publish his columns.
In his most recent column his opinion that we should love and forgive those who trespass against us also suggests that we can retain a measure of self-respect by doing so. It may also result in the person who is the subject of our concern gaining a healthy respect for us and others who share our views: it may help restore balance in his or her own life and work toward a new relationship with others.
