LAKEPORT — The Clear Lake High School varsity girls” soccer team will host its 12th annual soccer camp for boys and girls between the ages of 5-14 and of all ability levels beginning Monday and running through Thursday on the fields behind the Clear Lake High School gym. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to noon each of the four days.
The cost is $60 and includes a T-shirt. A family discount of $5 per camper is available if two or more campers from the same family register. There is an additional $5 discount for any camper who registers before the first day of camp.
Instruction will be provided by varsity girls” coaches Ken Wagner and Paul Larrea and junior varsity coach Alice Holmes. They will be assisted by guest coaches from college soccer programs and by members of the Clear Lake girls” soccer team.
The camp will emphasize basic soccer skills, offensive/defensive play and team concepts. For the younger players, it is a great opportunity to learn basic soccer skills and develop a positive and fun attitude toward soccer. There will be various contests, individual awards, snacks and game play each day.
